In Greece, every Holy Saturday at midnight, we kiss
each other to a chorus of fireworks, church bells and chanting priests, spreading the word that “Χριστός Ανέστη” (Christ
has risen).
Faith, Love and Hope have won.
As a non-religious person, I choose to keep a simple
symbolism of the Resurrection of Christ: the victory of light over darkness. It’s
the proof of the splendor and power of morality, strength and love.
Every Holy Saturday for the past few years, at midnight, I tweet my
wish and hope: “Christ has risen. Now it’s our turn.”
